When I was a little bit older I started getting interested in photography.
In 1987 I bought my first pocketcamera (a Panasonic) which I still have, but don't use anymore.
In 1997 I bought my first SLR: a secondhand Ricoh KR-5 with 2 lenses. One year later I traded this in for a Nikon F50. 2 years later a Nikon F80 was added. I kept the Nikon F50 as backupcamera but never used it anymore and eventually sold it in 2004 or so.
When we were expecting our first baby (to be born in June 2004) I wanted to have a digital-SLR, but at that time they were quite expensive. Fortunately the Nikon D70 came out just in time, which was payable, but compared to the current prices still rather expensive. I bought the D70 at the end of March 2004, so I got to get used a bit to it, before our son was born. Until sofar, it has been great to use it. And despite for the infamous Blinking Green Light of Death-problem, the camera hasn't caused some trouble. But after 5,5 years the camera was getting worse, so I decided to buy another camera, which has become the D300.
Photography is a freetime-event, not professional, but sofar it gave me some experience, especially when shooting a number of weddings. Also I could take the camera to some concerts to take a lot of pictures, of which in the sample-galleries some can be found.
In the future I would like to do some more photography on assignment-basis. If you like the pictures you see and need a photographer to shoot an event, feel free to contact me via the contactform or by phone.
